Something For Nothin
Jeff Campbell
from: Stop and Go

D Dmaj D Dmaj Bm G
Undo, Undid, Undone, Whatcha gonna do now?
    D Dmaj D Dmaj Bm
You broke it, then fixed it with duct tape Now you're parading it around,
           E9
Yelling so loud
G A
Looks like you're drawing a crowd.
         D Dmaj D Dmaj Bm G
Then you cry like a baby when maybe's not good enough for you
    D Dmaj D Dmaj Bm
Your tall eyes are flowing you a river running deep and wide and blue
           E9
Whatcha gonna do?
     G A
And all I ever wanted was you.

It's more like a something and less like there's nothing there at all
The fourth time was like the first one.., I still wasn't waiting on your call
No not at all
You're not keeping your eye on the ball.

Then you cry like a baby when maybe's not good enough for you
Your tall eyes are flowing you a river running deep and wide
and blue I Whatcha gonna do?
And all I ever wanted was you.
G A
Wrong words at the right time
G A
This poetry doesn't gotta rhyme
G A
Why? Why? Always asking why

gave you something for nothing to turn it into everything, but you
won't have none, don't want none Oh, the standards you have set for you
Whatcha gonna do?
All I ever wanted was you.

Then you cry like a baby when maybe's not good enough for you
Your tall eyes are flowing you a river running deep and wide
and blue I Whatcha gonna do?
And all I ever wanted was you.
